In the end, all the wrongdoers face their due retribution: the husband is sent to a mental institution by his mistress; the mother-in-law is abandoned in a nursing home; the younger sister-in-law falls into the abyss of domestic violence; and the mistress suffers a ruined reputation, left to wander the streets.
